Visual insights into economic and market trends

Coming off strong performance in both the equities and fixed income markets in 2025, the economic environment in 2026 is presenting challenges for businesses and consumers, but both are adapting. In the near term, we anticipate stimulus for both consumers and businesses from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). This stimulus will build on the already-resilient economy that is weathering tariffs, a weakening job market, and a shifting regulatory environment. And while geopolitical tensions remain elevated, we view the U.S. equity market as strong, well-capitalized, and resilient.

Explore our quarterly report focusing on underlying trends and themes inside the economy and markets, along with analysis and insight from David Hagee, Chief Investment Officer, Commerce Trust, and our investment management leadership team.
