Jess Sojka
Private Client Advisor
Jess is a private client advisor for Commerce Trust. He serves as a senior consultant and relationship manager providing clients with personalized objective advice and oversight across all our services, including trust administration, financial advisory services, private banking, and investment management.
Jess facilitates all aspects of relationship management for the client team, including administering complex trusts, maintaining client communication, and coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver a superior client experience. He has knowledge of administration of revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, IRAs, conservatorships, decedent estates, and special needs trusts.
He joined Commerce Trust with 26 years of military service and more than three years of experience in trust administration and estate planning. He holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Air Force Air War College, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wichita State University. He serves as the secretary of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, is a board member for Kansas STARBASE, and is a member of the Leadership Wichita class of 2025. He is an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He also enjoys family activities and playing disc golf.
