Ebeny Smith
Private Client Advisor Specialist
Ebeny is a private client advisor specialist for Commerce Trust. She serves as a consultant and relationship manager providing clients with personalized objective advice and oversight across all our services including trust administration, financial advisory services, private banking, and investment management. Ebeny facilitates all aspects of relationship management for the client team including administering complex trusts, maintaining client communication, and coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver a superior client experience.
Ebeny joined Commerce Trust in 2024, and she worked for Commerce Bank from 2001 to 2012. She has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. Ebeny earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Missouri Western State University.
Outside of the office, Ebeny volunteers with the Kiwanis Club of St. Joseph, InterServ, Easterseals, and has been volunteering with United Way for over 24 years. She also enjoys spending time outside walking her dogs, gardening, playing sports, dancing, and remaining as active as possible.
